Welcome!
The West Park Community Association (WPCA) was established in 1982 as a Virginia not-for-profit non stock corporation to manage the common area associated with the new homes built by Richmarr Construction Corporation in the Kings Park West subdivision, Section 25 of Fairfax County, Virginia. The construction of these homes from 1981 to 1983 culminated many years of Kings Park West development. That means the homes that WPCA serves are the newest in Kings Park West. WPCA operates as a 501(c)(4) tax exempt organization.
The image in the banner above shows a portion of our wooded common area with its paved path. The common area includes a playground and picnic area.
WPCA includes 78 homes located as shown in the shaded colored area in the aerial image on the left (north is up). Some of these homes are situated along the east side of Sideburn Road south of Braddock Road. All of the homes on Stallworth Court and Headly Court are included in WPCA. Both of these courts end in cul-de-sacs. Each court includes a pipe stem with additional homes. The access roads to these homes are the responsibility of the homeowners sharing the pipestems, but WPCA collects special pipestem dues from these homeowners to help them maintain these roads. The Association's large common area is adjacent to the access road from Sideburn Road to Robinson Secondary School along the southern boundary of Section 25 of Kings Park West. The left image in the collage above shows homes along Stallworth Court, the center image shows the entry onto Headly Court from Stallworth Court, and the right image shows the view on Headly Court from its cul-de-sac. Note that the placement of the homes is spacious making for a pleasant environment. The builder also left many mature trees undistrubed during construction. These are key reasons why there is such a relaxing, park-like feel here.
Our neighborhood is conveniently located within walking distance of the campuses of George Mason University, Robinson Secondary School, and Oak View Elementary School. A Giant Food grocery store, McDonald's, Domino's Pizza, Bryon's Grill, University Mall Theatres, two banks, a dry cleaner, and a Sunoco gas station plus several other businesses are also conveniently within walking distance at University Mall.
WPCA also represents other mutual interests of homeowners in Section 25 of Kings Park West. In particular, the Association maintains a standing Architectural Control Committee to review homeowner plans for modifications to the exterior of their homes. The purpose of this review is to confirm the quality of workmanship, materials, and harmony of external design with existing structures. All structural changes within Section 25 of Kings Park West require approval of the Architectural Control Committee.
