1990 Annual Meeting Minutes

The Annual Meeting of the West Park Community Association was held at the Oakview Elementary School on 14 November 1990. President Richard (Rick) Cary called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. There were 12 members present.

Last year's minutes were approved as read and accepted with a unanimous yes vote.

NEW OFFICERS

Election of new West Park Community Association Officers and Boad Members as required in accordance with the West Park [Community] Association by-laws was accomplished. The following new officers and one At-Large-Board Member were elected with a majority of the vote as required.

Bernie Carpenter, Vice President
Barbara Barringer, Secretary
[Vern Luke, Treasurer]
Danny Barr, Member-at-Large

TREASURER'S REPORT

The Treasurer's Report was read, discussed and accepted with a unanimous yes vote.

OLD BUSINESS

A light for the common area was discussed, and Rick Cary stated that he would check into the costs and procedures required to light the Tot Lot area.

NEW BUSINESS

The new West Park Community Association 1991 Budget was presented, discussed and accepted with a unanimous yes vote.

A discussion ensued about Fraternity parties and general neighborhood parties that tend to disturb others. It was agreed that if anything can be done it must start with the West Park [Community] Association covenants, neighborliness, call police, refer to county ordinances, and have restrictions in leases and sales contracts attempting to limit the fraternities within the West Park [Community] Association area. A member volunteered to look into the issues and report back to the Association.


The annual West Park Community Association meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM, 14 November 1990.
