1994 Annual Meeting Minutes

The Annual Meeting of the West Park Community Association was called to order at 7:05 PM on November 3, 1994 by President Rick Cary. There were 10 members present.

Minutes from the 1993 Annual Meeting were read by C. Faye Kraus. Clarifications discussed:

  • Rick Cary called County regarding getting common areas mowed more frequently. It was only done 2 times.
  • Nothing further has been pursued with regard to Neighborhood Watch.

1993 Minutes stood approved as read.

TREASURER'S REPORT

The Treasurer's Report was presented by Vern Luke. Discussion followed: Clarification on sale of "Owner's Packets" provided at a real estate closing by seller at a cost of $7.50 if picked up, or $10.00 if mailed.

Report stood approved as read.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS

No nominations were made or volunteers forthcoming for the 1994-1995 election of officers and board members. Therefore, Mr. Cary reappointed the present Board of Directors.

Members present unanimously signified approval by acclamation.

NEW BUSINESS

Discussion of the proposed budget:

Insurance $750
Playground $700-1000
Corporation Fees $30
Administration Costs $150
Common Area Maintenance $1500

(tentatively try to hire someone to maintain playground)

Budget approved, seconded & passed.

Open floor to discussion:

  • Resuming neighborhood watch.
  • Problem again of students from Robinson high School parking on Stallworth and driving out recklessly.
  • Increased trash on walk path, expecially the one from Stallworth to Robinson. Possibly putting in a couple of trash cans.
  • Possibility of decreasing annual dues, need 75% approval of community in order to do this. This topic will be on the agenda for the next meeting.
  • Possibility of walk paths needing repaving

A motion to adjourn was made and seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 7:43 PM.
