1995 Annual Meeting Minutes

The Annual Meeting of the West Park Community Association was called to order at 7:04 PM on October 25, 1995 by President Rick Cary. There were 18 members present.

Minutes from the 1994 Annual Meeting were read by Faye Kraus. Discussion & clarification by Rick Cary:

  • Clean up of common areas. Couple of times per year.
  • Stallworth parking & reckless driving. Petition for restrictive parking. Issue of kids off school grounds. Need to call Robinson regarding these issues or police.
  • Neighborhood Watch program discussed. A member to start it up. Fri. & Sat. nights 9-12 mn.

1995 [sic] Minutes stood approved as read.

TREASURER'S REPORT

The Treasurer's Report was presented by Vern Luke. Vern also offered up position of treasurer to anyone who wanted to take it.

Question as to insurance for Common Areas, i.e., Park, walk paths and woods.

Report stood approved as read.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Nominations were opened for Election of Board Officers. A New Board was nominated, voted on, and passed:

Rick Cary, President
Jim Emery, Vice President
Faye Kraus, Secretary
Vern Luke, Treasurer
Danny Barr, Member-at-Large

NEW BUSINESS

1. Proposed 1996 Budget
Discussion was raised about getting estimates for Common Area Maintenance fees. Recommended were David Waterman, or possibly Frank (outdoor man advertised in Herald).

Questions were raised as to the need for repaving path this year. General consensus was that the paths did not need repaving this year. A motion was made to accept the Budget minus repaving path costs.

Budget was approved and passed minus repaving monies.

2. Question regarding the covenants:
Problem on Stallworth concerning multiple families in 1 house. County Regulation states no more than 3 (?) or 4 non-family members in single family house. Also a question of renting out rooms.

3. Question regarding the issue of completing the sidewalk on Sideburn the rest of the way to Braddock.

These issues will be looked into for the next meeitng.


A motion to adjourn was made and seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM.
